Advanced
“Be able to design and implement a TDR project”
Who is this for?
For trainees who may or may not be new to TDR and are
planning to design, create and lead the implementation of
a TDR project. This level is suitable for trainees who want
to develop detailed understanding of the planning and
implementation of a TDR project. The Advanced level is
intended for researchers and practitioners who want to lead or
create TDR projects.
Aims and pro昀椀ciencies (in addition to foundational and
intermediate)
Know: Build awareness and understanding
•
Trainees understand that all TDR processes are unique
and adaptable to context, goals, and dynamic interactions
amongst partners.
•
Trainees appreciate that achieving TDR outcomes often
depends upon differences in knowledge, experience and
personal values / worldviews
•
Trainees recognize that there are different philosophical
foundations for different TD approaches and understand
the implications of the choices they make for their
methods and approaches
•
Trainees recognize that scoping and methodological
choices have ethical and political implications, and can
justify their decisions
•
Trainees relate specific activities to the attributes of TDR,
and can organize them in a logical sequence suited to the
problem or question
Trainers can use this level to design training sessions for e.g.
p. 51
•
graduate students planning a post-graduate TD project.
•
as systematic orientation for teams about to co-design
a TDR project.
•
to support researchers or practitioners who are seeking
to build skills in crafting and/or implementing a TDR
project.
